Hello Out There,
Blogging is something that I've been interested in getting involved in for a long time now. You always here about the connections it can make, the ways it can touch other people, and the root of freedom of expression that is obviously present. So what's this blog going to be about.. Well as boring as this may be it's going to be about me... I want this to be a place where I can share my deepest darkest fears and regrets. I want it to be a place where I can share my stories and hopefully help some of you out there feel like you are not alone. I want this to be a place where honesty is present and forgiveness is welcome. I want to learn from all of you who feel the desire to read this... and if no one does then it's just a place where I get to be me. All of me.. all in one place.
I think that's the thing... where do we really get to be "us". We all have work lives, home lives, family lives, friend lives. We have all these hats that we wear and all these expectations from different people that we curb parts of who we are to make our lives easier. Would they really have hired you if they knew you had an abortion? Would your best friend really be your best friend if they knew who you voted for this past election? Maybe the answer is yes... but maybe it's no. My point is that I am not one of the lucky ones who is able to show all my true colors to everyone. So this is a place where I really get to be me. Where when I go into work tomorrow no one is going to point fingers and say, "She's the one who had a one night stand last night." or when I go to my graduate classes no one's going to say, "She secretly wants to marry you."
This is a place where I can share the sorrows of the losses in my life, the excitement of graduating with my master's degree in May and the enjoyment of trying to find my first "real" job. This is a place where I can share my frustrations about the male gender and hopefully try to explain some of the crazy aspects of the female side. This is a place where I get to complain about what really matters to me, be excited for the things that excite me, and be honest about everything else.
